WHO WE ARE
The MidAtlantic Rubber & Plastics Group, part of the Rubber Division of the American Chemical Society, is a technically oriented professional organization. It promotes personal relationships among those in education, polymer manufacture, suppliers of raw materials and producers of rubber products.
Our antecedents, the Philadelphia Rubber Group (founded 1945) and the New York Rubber Group (founded 1928), were similarly corporate members of the ACS Rubber Division with many mutual members. In 2005, merger began with the formation of a joint Board of Directors. It was completed in 2006 with the MARPG, Inc. registered as a nonprofit corporation of Delaware.

WHY JOIN?
MARPG members come from all regions but many are from the midatlantic states. Anyone with an interest in rubber and plastics technology is welcome to join our organization or attend one of our events. Membership to our organization provides a mechanism and network for developing personal contacts with people in all phases, from polymer synthesis and characterization to marketing of end products.
We want to be your area resource on staying up-to-date in the industry and with new technology surrounding polymers. This mutual sharing of knowledge will benefit our membership allowing them to grow and foster a better overall understanding of the industry.
